Michael Cheape is a local acoustic guitarist and singer born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up on the North Shore of Oahu in Waialua where he cultivated his love for the ocean, sports, and music.

Born and raised in Kailua, Mark launched his music career in Honolulu's rock scene in 1976 as drummer and lead vocalist. He rocked stages with various bands across outer-island nightclubs, Southern California, Korea, Japan, Canada, and the Pacific Northwest. ​
